SAR Resident Fellow, Robert MirabalSAR’s renowned Indian Arts Research Center offers residential fellowships each year to up-and-coming indigenous artists. Robert Mirabal, a musician, poet, and painter from Taos Pueblo, was a Wagner Native American Artist Fellow. “[SAR] gave me the opportunity to experiment and take my talents in new directions,” says Mirabal. The year after his fellowship, Mirabal won a Grammy Award for Best Native American Album of the Year. Mateo Romero, a Cochiti Pueblo artist and activist who was a Dubin Fellow at SAR, became a Featured Artist at the internationally renowned Santa Fe Indian Market. “My experience at the School,” Romero declared, “changed my life.”

If you prefer to give your credit card information by phone, or if you would like to make a gift of stock, please call SAR’s Institutional Advancement Office at (505) 954-7200, 9 a.m.–12 p.m. or 1–5 p.m. (mountain time), Monday through Friday.
